Christmas is on The Way !

good evening and yes its another Christmas card...today I've went for bling rather than the more traditional cards I've shown in the last few posts. I did plan to post this this morning but didn't get it finished, ironing and chores got in the way!

Christmas is on the way

I have went to town with my die cuts and gold mirror card this time as you can see!...again I've used the lovely silent night papers; the snowflakes are glazed but the camera hasn't picked this up. (well more likely my poor photography skills haven't!) I kept the backdrop quite plain (other than the glitter!) so Tilda would stand out in all the bling surrounding her.The snowflake embossing was a magazine freebie; it's the first time I have used it and I'm pleased with the result (not that you can see much of it!)

Close up Tilda

I've now on my 8th Christmas card and I was also working on a thank you card... that I finished today(two in fact...one extra for a spare!) I've been really very lucky this week with the amount of spare time I've had; and had at hour this afternoon if not a bit more and I  may get an hour later tonight after dinner...hopefully!

Die Cuts and Stamp

Unfortunately it won't last though; it will slow down after today as the next few weeks work will be busy and I'm working the next 3 weekend's too; so I don't expect I will achieve as much as I have been doing so far...as I just won't have the time, I should still be on track for making all my Christmas cards, so I'm not to worried ...yet! Well I hope you got your crafty fix over the weekend or enjoyed yourself whatever you've been doing ...off to make the dinner, then hopefuly some more card making. Thank you for taking the time to visit, Off on a little hop myself whilst making dinner!...I do hope you have good week ahead...hugs...Andrea X

Believe In The Magic

Morning and I have yet another Christmas card to share today. I'm determined to make all my cards this year and as such have started early; which I know for some it is too much to bare as summer has just gone! its not been difficult for me as I have some fab new stamps and papers; that I have loved using as well as old stash from last year that I forgot I had !...and Christmas is my most favourite time of the year. I love the silent night papers used, some of which are glazed others glittered and they are all beautiful patterns it was hard to choose what to use first! Its also the first time I've used vellum for flowers and I'm pleased with the result. Sadly my photographic skills aren't great and does not pick up the fabulous sparkle and glitter. I think this is probably the nicest card I've ever made and I'm really pleased with it... the hard part will be choosing who to give it too!

Merry Christmas

I'm still well into christmas card making mode and have several to post now. I've chosen a cute one I finished using a fab Mo Manning digital stamp Noelle Bearing Gifts ,she was great to colour and I went to town a bit with embellishments; the beaded snowflake was from Christmas crackers a few years ago which I just knew would come to good use!...the border I found in my stash but no idea where its from!... but the colours worked well and worked with the stamp too... I'm happy with the overall result and hope you like it too? ...I've used  a lot of last years christmas stash with a few new additions such as the die cut tree and stamp which are some of my most recent purchases.

So far I have only posted one card and I plan to post another later today..I'm sure I said that last week too! Go check out Julia at the Stamping Ground and see what the world of crafty bloggers are up ...you'll get hooked if you've not done so already!.

Christmas Cards -The most Wonderful Time of the Year

Morning I'm doing well this week, work has been ok, I've had the weekend off and this is my second post this week...lets hope I get to keep it up.Today its my first christmas card.I love christmas it's my favourite time of  the year by far, and I start my countdown from about the end of August much to my family and friends horror; if I had my way I'd start earlier! I now have 3 completed cards and another almost finished...the plan is too make at least 2 per week and I  should have enough by christmas for everyone...that the plan anyway! It worked last year although I did start earlier and didn't give everyone a handmade card...it was my first year of card making and I wasn't confident about family and friends reactions to a handmade card...but I got some lovely comments from followers and friends online and now its I put a lot of  time, love and effort into each and every card I make and if the recipient doesn't appreciate that then I'm stumped!...so far no one has made a negative comment..not to my face anyway!

'Believe'

I bought quite a few new christmas goodies over the last few weeks that I just couldn't resist, today I've used Spellbinder and Heartfelt Creations christmas stamps and die sets; there are some gorgeous stamps in the set and I can see me using it to make many of my cards this year, For this card I used bird from the christmas song set stamp and embossed one of the greetings from the bright christmas set  as well as the holly berry which is from the ornamental add on die set and some die cut roses.I went to town with the glitter to add some christmas sparkle;unfortunately the photos haven't picked this up too well. It's not my usual style of card; but I can see me making many more cards from these stamp sets...I hope you like them too?

Happy WOYWW... I missed taking part last week but it feels like it has been so much longer !...I've made it this week... just!...off to work very soon...will catch up with other woywwers  later today. My busy desk photos where taken last night...not a lot of action over the past few weeks due to work, but when I get the time I do another little bit...I'm working on two cards simultaneously, the other one is at the back of the desk left hand side...neither is quite finished...still planning !
I received lots of new goodies in the post last week, which I couldn't resist, online shopping is too easy !... I've had a little play with some of the dies and cant wait to start using the rest, I had told myself last month no more purchases for the rest of the year !... hmm that didn't last long; although its bits I do need for christmas cards so necessary purchases !

Sorry I know its been a while...I'm having withdrawals...I've missed my blogging and visiting favourite sites, work has meant no time for anything including card making. Today's card was finished some time ago; like many I've completed over recent weeks I've and had no time to post it. I'm still working on christmas cards completed two and working on numbers 3 and 4 so all is not lost; by christmas I should have enough! I have had some good news; I won two tickets to The Big Stamp show at Alexandra Palace on the 21st and 22nd September; unfortunately I cant go...I would love too, maybe next time! So I'm happy to give them away to the first person who requests them, just leave me a comment with email address so that I can contact you for your address details and I will post them on.
