About the gilding flakes, have you tried working on double sided adhesive acetate? You stamp your image with archival ink on the one sticky side. Then seal that with the acetate. Rather than me continuing to explain very badly, just take a look at Barbara Gray's blogpost - http://barbaragrayblog.blogspot.co.uk/2014/02/perfect-pearls-under-sea.html The acetate protects all your work and leaves it shining beautifully. Thank you for your visit this week. I am so late returning the compliment but going to the NEC means that I am playing catch up all week now. I was quite good with my list to start with, but then I lost my list, and got sucked in by all the fantastic stencils on offer on the Clarity stand. There were so many brilliant show offers there and it would have been rude not to take advantage of them, wouldn't it? Hope you have a really good week. xx Maggie #76<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />. ...Hi Andrea, thank you for your visit and comment.<br /> A quick answer to your Question....... I stamp each image onto a blank sheet the same size as the laminate and stick it to an acetate sheet. If you enlarge my desk image you will see a couple of said finished sheets. I then store them in reseal bags standing them up in a storage container.<br />I like what you are doing with your hearts. As for the flakes, I use a stippling brush in a dabbing motion rather than scrubbing. I think scrubbing is just too harsh, leaving only a slight covering. Hope this is of some help for you.<br />Nelle 53 xxNellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14674072122765519314noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4569303095762185586.post-12556149611789406562014-03-19T20:42:07.511+00:002014-03-19T20:42:07.511+00:00Well, I am a little shocked Andrea, this is defin...Well, I am a little shocked Andrea, this is definitely the untidiest I have ever seen your desk - still not a patch on mine though!<br />I'm unable to help with your gilding flakes - mine are still in the box they came in - your heart looks fine to me though and I love your gorgeous daffodils.<br />Pauline<br />x<br />cotnobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03953842419539845175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4569303095762185586.post-52304133332240324492014-03-19T20:30:41.495+00:002014-03-19T20:30:41.495+00:00Sorry, can't help with the gilding flakes as I...Sorry, can't help with the gilding flakes as I've no idea what they are!! I did manage to blur some of mine when I did it on card by being over-zealous with the rubbing off, so maybe it was still a little damp? If you can get some, try some of the Judikins Sticky Stuff embossing powder, I liked that much better than the glues. If it's flitter glue you don't need to wait you can apply the gilding flake straight away. Rub the excess gently with your finger to remove it and then rub over with the sponge.
