WOYWW 195

Happy WOYWW, it’s that day of the week again where we all get to share our creations thanks to our leader and host Julia over at the Stamping Ground. Why don’t you take a look and even better take part in the worldwide WOYWW gathering. Wednesdays come round quickly and this week is no exception. I knew I wouldn't have a lot of time this week with work as I’m working late every evening and working on Saturday. I had a marathon colouring session at the weekend which means I’ve lots of pretty stamps all ready to make into cards. I will be spending this week gathering all the bits and pieces I need/want to use. I won’t necessarily get any finished until Sunday; but can dip in and out of the craft room planning my ideas, which is enough to keep me happy and out of mischief! As you can see progress is ongoing and there is a lot of pink and lime on show today ,I went a bit OTT with die cutting...again!  Must go and nosey drop in on some WOYWWers before I get ready for work, it may take me a few days though to get around and visit everyone. Have a fabulous week and thanks for dropping in… lots of hugs…

With Love to You

It’s a long post this morning .I started this card last weekend, and did not imagine it would take until yesterday before I’d finish it and make the box for it, although I gave it to my friend yesterday and she was pleased with it so it has been worth it, I definitely won’t win any speed awards!
Work is still very stressful and I still have to work late most nights and will be for at least another couple of months, although there is light an end of the tunnel!
The plan was to make the most of this weekend as I have to work late every evening next week and Saturday so there won’t be much time for anything else… I am thankful I discovered card making and Blogger as it’s definitely great for my stress levels as this has been the most some of the most difficult few months I think I’ve ever had due to work and has been my saviour.
On a much more positive note I still have some leave left to take and hubby has had a surprise long weekend planned for months he asked me to book the dates off months ago and has kept it a secret as long as possible but as we go in less than 2 weeks; I now know where it is and it’ definitely a trip of a lifetime. I am a very fortunate and excited as we are off to the Arctic Circle to stay at the Ice Hotel in Lapland for 4 nights. This includes a husky ride, a night sleeping in an ice room and an ice sculpture lesson! hopefully we will get to see the Northern Lights too as its on my ‘bucket  list ‘ so I’m really exited .Today I'm going shopping  for thermals and bit s and pieces to keep warm ! Looking at the brochure and itinerary they have sent it’s going to be very very cold but amazing!!
I hope you have a wonderful week and thanks for visiting ... hugs ...Andrea X

Card and box lid

Close up Tilda

Back to the card as I have digressed, Tilda did start off as a potential option for hubby's valentines card when I first coloured her; but I didn't use her so has become a very girly easel card instead to say hi to a friend who has been poorly recently. I went all out girly with flowers, butterflies and pearls and as you can see the grand calibur has been busy again!.I love the pink and aqua colour scheme and it’s nice, bright and cheerful .For the first time I also decorated the box using a free embossing folder from a card magazine and the same embellishments I used on the card

WOYWW 194

Gosh another week has passed again which means its time for WOYWW …what’s that? the amazing weekly get together hosted by the fabulous Julia at the Stamping Ground, why you don’t hop over and take a peek or even better take part yourself and share what’s on your desk with us today. There are a lot of bits 'n' bobs on my desk this morning and as you can see I can make a mess! I started this card on Sunday but as not had much time for card making I’ve made the most of what time I have had and all the basics are now done; last night I started to glitter some of the die cuts I plan to use. I rarely use glitter now other than Christmas so thought it needed to make an appearance. The card is an easel card probably my favourite design and is for a friend .As ever I’ve went mad with the die cutting I’ve probably enough for 10 cards! although it won’t go to waste and the leftovers will be added to my ever growing stash of ready to use die cuts. So that’s my project for this week off blog hopping now to see what everyone else is up to. Have a wonderful week and thanks for visiting… hugs Andrea x

Cute Romeo

This was the other card option for hubby's Valentines Day card which I chose not to use, so got to keep it for myself!  This one is more subtle than the other one although it still has a lot going on; I love the cute LOTV bear and enjoyed colouring him. I’m loving using my Grand Calibur and adding to me die cut haul but there is a never ending list I need; note I used need rather than want I’m definitely addicted! I got a little card making time yesterday as I had to go to work on Saturday which I don’t usually do and haven’t for a few years so that was a shock to the system; but I did actually quite enjoy it after the initial reluctance and I know I’m lucky that I have a job with so much uncertainty around these days.. I haven’t quite finished it yet' might get another half hour tonight  so the plan is to keep this short and sweet . I hope you get to have some crafting time to enjoy and have a great week. Thanks for visiting … hugs Andrea X

Valentines Bunnies

I got both the cards finished that I started in time for Valentines Day yesterday and had to choose one for my husband. I went for the more elaborate of the two; I really enjoyed making them although I did go a bit OTT with the die cutting. It was also the first time I've used a glue gun; I did ok but need to practice, it was great for the flowers though which I usually struggle to do with wet glue.
Hubby really liked the card so I’m happy, I also showed him the other one I made and he agreed I made the right choice…the perfect reply really. I used a LOTV stamp for them both; this one is cute bunnies in love and I went for a craft, red and white colour theme .The sentiment which I die cut is a digi freebie from Desert Diva there where lots to choose from and perfect as I don’t have any Valentines stamps in my stash yet, A great find and a fab site, thanks to Hanellie for her generosity. The backing papers where a magazine freebie from Tatty Teddy  although you can buy the range too.

What’s WOYWW?... why don’t you hop over to the fabulous host Julia at the Stamping Ground and check it out, Its  where all us crafters get together each Wednesday and share what we are up to around the world.  A short post today as I’m at work early this morning .I've had a busy week; but have got up early enough each day to do some card making most mornings and have nearly finished hubby's valentine’s card. As you can see I’ve ended up with two to choose from and I went a bit die cutting mad! Oh I do love my Grand Calibur nearly as much as my cutting mat! After work I've just to put them together and then choose which one to use! The envelopes on the corner of desk are two birthday cards that I need to post today. I must  go now and get ready for work, I will be back tonight and over the next few days to visit everyone (that’s the plan anyway). Hope you have a fab day and week, thanks for popping by

Love is in the Air

I finally got to use some of the pretty paper that I’ve had stashed for ages this morning  , Its the Canterbury Collection A4 pad from Kanban; it’s a lovely pack some of it is foiled and they are all beautiful designs. I thought it was time to stop looking at it and start using it, With love in the air all around with valentines I went for a heart themed card using die cuts and a cute little heart embellishment. The sentiment is detachable (it’s just pegged on) so I can change it to fit different occasions; so when I want to use it I can change it if I need to. Hopefully I will get some more card making time later today as I want to make hubby’s valentines card don’t have any ideas yet but I’m sure after a little blog hopping for inspiration I will have loads. Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a wonderful week…hugs Andrea x

Not a lot of crafting to show although I did get a little bit of stamping and die cutting finished and started some colouring before work yesterday. Hopefully will make it into a card at the weekend; using the pretty blue papers that I’ve been hoping to use for the past couple of weeks. I’m off to visit some “WOYWWERS” before I need to head off too work. Hope you have a fab day and week, thanks for popping by hugs…Andrea x
