WOYWW 176

Hi I've made it again for another week,I got up a bit earlier this morning so that I could post before work. Why dont you hop over to Julia the excellent host of WOYWW at The Stamping Ground and have a good look at what everyone is up to this week and or join in yourself..sadly I've not a lot to show this week sorry,I've had a stinking cold since last week and other than blog hopping and Pinterest(I'm officially addicted!!)I've not achieved much else since then.Christmas card making is temporarily postponed mid card making and moved (not away). I had a bit of a stamping frenzy last night. I'm a bit of an odd crafter as I hate the feel of ink!..so I tend to stamp in bursts so I dont need to do it too often.which also means I'm not very good so the bin fills very quickly!, mmm...I should really stick to digi's if I thought about it !... as mad as it sounds I have even tried wearing latex gloves but tended to get into a right mess and ink everywhere so that was scrapped...any good ideas would be gratefully received.
I've stamped a whole range including the cute teddy with the balloons which I haven't used yet, he is from craftworks cards he is so cute and stamped beautifully. The Holly Hobby stamps where a must to stamp and was a magazine freebie, reminds me of my childhood, I cant wait to try colouring them both.Sorry I'm waffling on a bit now; so off to check out what the other WOYWWers are up to before I need to get ready for work ...come join me.Until next week when I  will try to keep the post short...honest,its so hard to do!... have a good week...hugs...x

  2. If you don't like ink you could stamp with paint.
    Have fun!

  5. Hi Andrea.
    I am back again.
If you stamp with paint, any paint at all, you will get variable results and you need to experiment to see what effect you like. I just play around and I am too easily pleased because I always like what happens. Wishing you lots of luck!

  6. Wow that will be a lot of coloring!!! I like the stamping part, I'm not crazy about coloring, I do a lot of watercolors and I like that method. Good Luck with the ink issues, I think didgi's might be a good soulution for you!

  9. I can't stand the feel of wooden spoons and yet I love to bake. There is always a way around these problems. I'm sure one of the wonderful woyww'er will come up with something. Hope you are feeling better

  11. Wow, lots going on there...but a stamping frenzy is a good idea if you hate the inking bit.
What if you stamped everything out once, and filed all the stamed sheets by theme or stamp or whatever
Then when you want to make a card, photocopy it with a lazer jet printer.
Or find gloves that fit tighter (skin tight like a surgeon and wipe the fingertips often as the ink doesn't dry as quick if it gets on rubber or latex etc as it does on skin...your skin absorbs it or it smudges in...the glove holds it all wet and inky to redeposit on your cardstock. Ink stamp, wipe fingertips, stamp, repeat...

  12. Hello!

I love digital images! Although I still purchase the odd stamp I use digital images almost exclusively. They are so much cheaper than a wooden or clear stamp - so I can purchase many of them for the price of one stamp. You can turn the image in different directions and change the size and of course there is no storage problem as they are kept on a computer file. Love them! We have rain, rain, rain here in this part of WI - I wish for you some sunshine today!

  13. That was a fun desk to peek in on :)
I've seen ladies color the stamps with pigment markers, then stamp...would that work?

    I'm a painter myself (though I have 2 drawers full of stamps!) I wish I had other ideas...sorry :P

  15. I'm down right terrible with inking as well. I was always getting ink all over the block when I was putting the stamp on the pad which then means the ink got on my fingers etc etc etc. I just switched it around so that the stamp on the block was sitting on the table and the ink pad was in my hand and I dabbed the ink on the stamp. The other thing I've learned to do is to use a mouse pad under the paper so I didn't have to push the stamp as hard. Good luck...I feel your pain:)

  16. So funny how we're all different - nothing I love more than getting all inky with stamping, but I can't do colouring at all! Love the Holly Hobbie stamps - very cute... I collected all the Sarah Kay stickers in my dim and distant childhood, so these really appeal. Belated happy WOYWW!

  17. Sorry to be so late getting round again. I had a very busy end to the week and am only just catching up with myself.

Wow, you did do a lot of stamping didn’t you!
I’m never that organised but I do often stamp a couple of images at a time when I’m making a card, not so must as to have loads read and waiting when I need them though, it’s more in case I mess up the colouring and need to do another.

Thanks for stopping by this week.

    Happy Crafting!
