Happy WOYWW and I know I’m supposed to keep it brief (sorry Julia) but I wanted to a share my first scrap book page with you all,
What’s WOYWW? Check out the Stamping Ground to share in this addictive weekly crafty blog hop hosted by the wonderful Julia…you will want to take part.
Hopefully this will be one of many pages now that I finally got started. Not much else happening I’m afraid I’ve been busy at work this week  and not had any crafty time since the weekend
My dad sadly passed away three years ago and I don’t have very many photos of him either whilst growing up or with my daughter. The photo I used for the page was a tatty little photo that I found but couldn't part with, its damaged and not the greatest of quality but is one of the few I have of him with my daughter as a baby; so was very important to me to keep.
I’m happy with how it turned out and hope that despite its size and quality it still remains the focal point. .I have put additional journalling hidden on a tag as there are some very personal memories and thoughts that I want my daughter to have that I wouldn't want on the page. The grand idea is the scrapbook will be given to my daughter completed and will have a brief page or two about me and my family( if I can find enough photos) and will manly focus on her life from birth till the present day taking snapshot moments /events along the way. I have so few photos from when I grew up and I want to keep as many memories and events as vivid as possible for her and the generations ahead.
I’m happy I got started. It was not as difficult as I thought it would be with a huge 12x12 piece of card in front of me; I’m already planning the next one in my head
Hope you have a great week and get to do something that is special too you. Thanks for visiting. And will visit all you WOWWER’S later as early start this morning and will get back to you when I get back in from work later today...Hugs… Andrea X

OK, here's the thing, first I am apologizing for not having been around, but I have been uber busy and now I am going to have the audacity to ask you to do a favor for me ( shakes head, I'm shameless ) But I am in a contest and sad to say but it's the truth, it's a popularity vote, so here's the favor...would you be so kind to go over and vote for me? I sure would appreciate it from the bottom of my pitiful heart! lol (vote for the camera, please ) ( waving hi from the hills of North Carolina ♥ #19

  16. Andrea, your first page is a beautiful tribute and a wonderful layout! Well done getting that page done! I've only done one scrapbook and that was of the twinks' first year. It turned out to be two volumes, which makes sense because there are two of them. I thought, ugh, what a job ... but, boy, once I got going, I found the whole project to be quite addicting. As you said, I was already thinking of the next two pages while finishing up a set. So it will be fun - a lot of work, but fun. It will bring you a deep sense of satisfaction when it's finished, knowing that she (and future generations) will treasure it forever!!

  17. Gorgeous layout! Thanks for sharing this with us at Our Creative Corner - Love from Laura xxx

  18. This page is a lovely and fitting tribute to your father. You have done a great job of this page and should be very proud of it!

I loved the journalling. Couldn't read it all of course and do not need to...just loved that you took the time to record the memories and do a fitting tribute!

I have very few photos of myself or my family as well. It just was not the type of thing my folks did...they didnt take many photos. Like you, I treasure the ones I do have.

Thank you for commenting on my blog, I read and appreciate every one of them!
