WOYWW241

Good morning and a very happy WOYWW. I didn't expect to make it this morning as last night I was unwell. I had been feeling out of sorts all day and whilst I was making a "quick card "for  a friend who was taken into hospital yesterday I  began to feel quite nauseous... that was it the next 3 hours was spent vomiting with severe stomach pains and generally not feeling well... the card as you can see is not finished but nearly there!...I dont know what caused my  problem but thankfully this morning other than some stomach pains I feel ok...which is good as I need to go to work as there is no one else to cover the early start so I'm pleased I feel better!

whole desk view ( almost !)
On to more a positive subject a big thank you to everyone who wished us well for our wedding anniversary at  the weekend...we had a lovely weekend together ;I was off work and no stress so was perfect...the card I made will l be posted when I get around to taking photos...A big thank you thanks goes to Darnell her wonderful ribbon card last week was my inspiration.  The desk today  show some  action!...the "quick card "I was making last night and a thank you card that just needs finishing off...I've been playing around with the layout and embellishments and its now ready (I think) to be finished...nothing as yet is actually attached!...I still have a pile of stamps that I finished colouring in the corner and some card blanks to put away.Hop over to the host Julia at the Stamping Ground to check out some great crafty workdesks and spaces and maybe even take part yourself .I hope to catch up with you later after work.... have a great day and week ahead crafty hugs Andrea x

Birthday Bouquet and insomnia !

Hi and a very early good morning to you, as is common I couldn't sleep again which is bit frustrating as I'm the early start at work again today and should not be awake; but I am so being productive. This is a birthday card finished recently for a friend... as it felt like I had been making christmas cards forever I went all out girly and used pink and yellow; which isn't a usual colour combo for me but did mean I created a bright and cheerful card... I also made a box but forgot to photograph it! The stamp is LOTV... I would gladly have all there stamps as they are so sweet and did see on website and recent blogs that they have a fab new range which I'm itching to get my hands on some as they are so cute... I love all their stamps but post Christmas no pennies to spare! You might notice I used a fine liner to put her name on the bouquet gift tag which was tricky as its quiet small-I'm pleased with that. It was well received and enjoyable to make so everyone was happy.

Happy birthday bouquet

 close up colouring
acetate butterfly

close up flowers

I used the following-
White linen square base card
Pink and yellow card stock for layering and die cuts
Design papers (magazine freebies)
dies used-
from stash-
various satin and fabric flowers
die cut chipboard sentiments ( magazine freebies)
pink satin ribbons
paper doily
polka dot buttons
acetate butterfly(another magazine freebie)

Its only when I began listing what I've used for this card that I realised just how many magazine freebies I have accumulated since I started crafting; my magazine stash is growing quite large too; I buy or subscribe to most each month...I think I need to cut back!... as at this rate in a few years I'd need a bigger craft room just for these!...hope you have good weekend and aren't to badly effected by the awful weather of late. I'm going to try and get back to sleep for another couple hours before I need to get up for work thanks for visiting crafty hugs Andrea X

I would like to take part in the following challenges

WOYWW 240

Well its Wednesday again which means its WOYWW 240 ...doesn't it come around quick the second of 2014 already!... which means it is time to share what's on my Work desk... I'm afraid its still only colouring I haven't had much time lately and other than my wedding anniversary on Saturday I have no birthdays or cards requirements so when I do get the opportunity I have been enjoying colouring some images; which does mean I will be prepared for some future card making needs...that's the intention anyway. The stamp pile from last week has moved...its not been put away...just relocated to the other side of the room!...I might just mange to organise them today we will see! I do plan to make my anniversary card  today and  will show it after the event as hubby does look at my blog on occasions. Why don't you hop over to the wonderful host Julia at the Stamping Ground and check out some great desks from around the world;...better still take part yourself, we would love to see what you have been up to. Hope you have a great week ahead and haven't been effected by the terrible weather...I am very lucky and we have had no problems where we are. Crafty hugs and will come visit you soon Andrea X
