I’ve completed another saturated canary card tonight and again I’ve
tried to go for a more vintage look. I’m still working on how to achieve this
and ink the papers properly …but will keep practising! I’ve a friend in mind to
give this card to although that wasn’t the plan when I started,a s initially it was just for fun, I do need to make an
anniversary card for next week and daughters birthday card for the end
of January… so they are next on my list.
I had started my daughter’s card before Christmas, until she announced whilst home that she wasn't keen on “people” cards like Tilda!!! Shock...horror!...I had coloured two
separate Tilda’s and was working on both as I wasn't sure which one I
preferred!...so now I’m looking for a cute animal stamp /digi to use instead and
today I’ve saw that I won the random prize from Glitter "n" Sparkle for
Di’s Digi Downloads so I’m sure I will find the perfect stamp there as they
have a huge range of cute ones …how lucky am I!
finished card
Saturated canary
close up
Vellum roses
Sorry about the colours it looks peach and grey but its more pink and green. I think Its because the photos where taken this evening with no natural light source.
I used some of my wonderful
Christmas goodies on this card including my copics, and dies including the
lovely scalloped label die I used for Jules, edge border and spiral flower. …
It’s also the first time I’ve used vellum another pressie that I think will get
lots of use, I was surprised how well it die cut although a few of the corners I die cut did split/crack slightly.
I
went for more green tones this time as noticed it was nearly a blue card again this
week, but I steered away …it was a close call.
we
put all the Christmas decorations away today, the house always looks so bare
once everything gets packed away; we usually have it all done by now but
haven’t had the time this week …only 355
days to Christmas…can’t wait… LOL I love it! I’m happy I’ve had my “me” time and craft fix so good
to go for another week.
Hope
you all have a wonderful week hope to be back soon … hugs Andrea x
