WOYWW 264

A very happy WOYWW to everyone, I haven’t posted anything the last few weeks and it’s good to be back  hop over to Julia at the Stamping Ground to take part in this fab worldwide weekly hop of creative desks and workspaces. Work commitments have limited my crafty time so I’ve not had much to show for my time away and as you a can see not a very exciting desk either! I do have some fab new stamps and dies that I can’t wait to try thoughas usual it was a deal I couldn’t resist even though I promised myself no more purchases!!! Also some great magazine freebies that I want to try out too …So I haven’t put them away as they are great to look at and stroke until I can get my hands on them!
"Arty shot" - New Stash

front desk shot-ready and waiting to be used

The card below was a quick a card I made for my hubby last night just to say a big thank you; he’s been fab the last few weeks as it's been quite stressful and he is very very supportive which I do really appreciate but it isn’t always obvious that I do !
I don’t usually use pre made toppers so this was a first for me; It was quick and easy and I really enjoyed it. It was a magazine freebie kit.I’ve a big stash of different toppers and pre made kit type card bits that I thought I wouldn’t ever use (in the big to charity shop box)so I think now I  need to have a little look through them and take out the ones I really like and put them to use. I only had to add some red and craft card, a sweet sentiment stamp, a few buttons and a postage style stamp and job done a quick cute card which hubby loved …perfect.
quick "topper" card

I hope you have been having a good week and enjoy the week ahead too.I’m off for a quick nosey before workI’m working until late tonight and it’s the same for most of the week so it may take me some time to come visit you but I will. I hope you have a super week ahead whatever you get up too and a very big thank you for visiting it’s very much appreciated. I will return the visit very soon … crafty hugs AndI would like to take part in the following challenges-

  1. Hi Andrea and happy WOYWW. oooh you do have a nice tidy, sorted desk and I do hope you can find some crafting time soon. Great stash of newbies waiting and I think your card is gorgeous....I did think along the same line... I'm a stamper but this year have found myself using images from paper stacks. Cheers and have a great week RobynO#30

  2. Hi Andrea, it's good to see you! Your desk looks neat and tidy as usual, those stamps and dies look rather nice, can't wait to see what you make with them.
I love your card, such an adorable topper and nice clean design. Toppers can be useful when you need t make something in a hurry - I'm sure your husband appreciated the thought.
    Take care.

  3. You're right...we SHOULD take more time and effort to actually tell our loved ones that they are awesome, not just assume they know. The card is really lovely, shows him how appreciated he is :-)
And I think you were quite restrained with your new stash! Have fun playing with it.

  4. Lovely card, I agree that we don't always take the time to say thank you I love you to the ones that mean the most to us..however I think my Hubby is over my constantly leaving paper crafted randomness on his desk :) Love the stash shot..is that a stack of magazine freebies I spy Andrea? I SO miss that about the UK, don't get freebies in the US on magazines. Cx #71

  10. Ooh, I don't think I would agree with you that your desk isn't exciting, it look very exciting with those stamps and die cutters, ber you can't wait to get using them.
I hope that the coming weeks are a little less stressful for you and you can spend time with both DH and your desk.
    Bless you

  11. Oh, my gosh, look at your Mt. NBUS, Andrea! I think that might be getting as high as mine, lol!! You sure have enough there to enter my challenge the next time I have one! I know things have been too busy for you to get to it this time and I understand! Your card for your sweet DH is just darling! I'm not surprised he loved it! I hope things get better for you soon so you don't have to work such long days! I'm not WOYWWing today as I had that other hop which happened to fall on a Wednesday. Hugs, Darnell

  15. Hi Andrea, I do like the cute bunny card! But you've got a lot of nice stash to play with there! I like the look of the snowflakes ... are they dies? (I think so.)
Re. my "homemade stamp" ... I had an idea a while ago about using die cuts (made from thickish craft foam) to make stamps ... really easy. I don't think I saw the idea anywhere else, but it is so simple, I don't expect it is "original" :)
    Thanks for dropping by earlier,

  16. Firstly, I'm with you on the whole pre made topper thing ... but sometimes it's all you need to do, and why not?
2nd really sorry I forgot to thank you for the lovely ATC which I received last week. I have really been struggling with the bronchitis for a couple of weeks now.... blah blah blah. I haven't been visiting much lately either, you know how it is....
I will show it next week.
I hope you get to play with your new goodies soon

  17. Hi Andrea, I'm another one not for using kits, but I must say that bunny is adorable. Not sure if the snowflakes are stamps or dies, but I love them, either way. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #35 xx
