Hi it's been a while since I've posted and a very happy WOYWW to everyone ...check out the fab host Julia at the Stamping Ground to see some awesome workdesks from around the world.
I haven't posted anything since mid January and not visited many of my favourite sites in ages ...work and life have unfortunately taken over and crafting/card making a back seat; but hopefully all is now much more settled and I can get back into a "normal" routine, spending some time doing what I enjoy. So apologies if I haven't visited for a while and hopefully I will come see you soon. I'm on an early start today, therefore I wont be visiting anyone until I get home later this afternoon.
As you can see from my desk not much has changed since then, the card I was working on in January is still there!!!...it is finished except for an insert but didn't make it to its intended recipient...I had to buy one instead !...I'm sure it will be put to good use sometime.
I did get a couple of hours card making over the weekend and I've started on my Easter cards as you can see very much still work in progress, it takes me forever to choose paper card etc...my OCD likes everything to match which is impossible really but I still try! The plan for Easter is to start early enough and have my cards finished in good time. I'm only making 4-5 the others I will probably buy(dont tell anyone). The cute bunny stamp was a magazine freebie I'm quite pleased with how it turned out..and the plan is it will become my daughters Easter card. I hope you are having a much more productive time than me and I look forward to finding out.
Crafty hugs and thanks for visiting ...Andrea X

Hi Andrea, popped in for a quick look, nice colouring on the bunny and have fun now with Easter cards now that you're back at your desk. A deep breath and enjoy your week Cheers RobynO#30
ReplyDeleteHi Andrea- just saw you in the list and thought I haven't been to see you in a while- now I know why, lol. That bunny is super cute- I love bunnies!Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #41 xx
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your nice tidy desk. I don't bother giving Easter cards just chocolate eggs. Which I love.
ReplyDeleteOne cute bunny, Andrea. Glad you have managed a couple of hours - more soon, maybe!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting, and for your comments. I confess that I knit when we are downstairs. Hubby isn't too well at present and doesn't always come down to the lounge - his art space is upstairs - so when he is down, then I move my work down too. we'll watch a film and I'll knit - so it takes time to finish anything.
Take care.

ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see you Andrea, your desk is neat and tidy as always. You sound like me - I take hours to find matching papers and card stock, making the actual card is the easy bit!

ReplyDeleteWhat a super cute image that is, Andrea! Your daughter will love it and you've picked out a nice array of papers for it!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the matching. I started years ago when I couldn't afford to buy from companies who match things for you or paper pads that do it. Now I wish, looking back, that I had just saved the money I spent on random papers and applied it to the matching pads when I could afford them. I wasted a ton of time going through the piles and then going through them again ... oof! Now they make these wonderful 6x6 pads, like from Bo Bunny and a million others, that are all coordinated for you!! How cool is that? It's so worth the money.
And the worst part? I'm STILL doing the struggling because now I have all these reams of paper that didn't come coordinated! I just hate to throw it out, but it is recycled, so it's not just going in a landfill, but still, I'm conflicted, even now that I'm older and can afford the pads. Does that make me stupid? LOL! Don't answer that! Typing this has been a sort of epiphany for me, hmmm, life really is too short, isn't it?! Now who says that all the time?!
Have a great weekend! I'm so glad to hear that things are calmer for now and that you might be able to make card-making a regular part of your routine again! Hugs, Darnell
